Pixelate Pro checks your setup before it previews or exports. Problems show as messages in the Inspector: under the Export button, under a section, or inside the effect they belong to. Errors block Export; warnings let you export but point at something that is probably not what you want. Each message says how to fix it; this page adds a little context. The Browser window’s Validate runs the same checks on many assets at once.

Output and Export

If Export reports a Unity import problem (for example “Unity did not create a TextureImporter”), refresh the project with Assets > Refresh and export again.

Common questions

Cell Size is too small or the camera is off-center. Increase Cell Size, and use Camera Offset (usually Y) to center the model. Assets made with Create > Pixelate > Pixelate Asset from a model are framed for you.
Views look at the source’s front at Rotation Y 180. If your model faces a different axis, rotate the views, or use Add Directions and pick the view you need.
Lit and Normal need an enabled Lighting effect on the Style Profile. Add it with Add Effect.
That is expected. Pixelate Pro notices changes to the source’s materials and textures, not only the Pixelate Asset. Export again to bring the sprites up to date.
Turn on Pixelated in the Style Profile’s Profile Settings and export again, so the sprites use Point filtering. Also check that your camera and Canvas don’t scale sprites by non-whole amounts.
