No. Pixelate Pro captures in the background from the Pixelate Asset alone. It never needs Play Mode and never leaves objects in your scenes.
No. It renders your source with its own materials and never edits them. The look comes from effects applied after capture.
Yes. The Preview and Export use the same rendering, so the exported sheets match the Preview pixel for pixel. Save GIF uses it too.
No. Exported sprite sheets, Animation Clips, Animator Controllers and Sprite Libraries are standard Unity assets.
Sprite size in pixels is Cell Size × Pixels Per Unit. For chunkier pixels, lower Pixels Per Unit on the Style Profile. For more detail, raise it. The Output line under Cell Size shows the result.
In Rendering, open Add Directions in the Views header and choose 8 Directions. Set the first view’s X rotation to the camera tilt you want first; new views use it. To reuse the views on other characters, click Save As… to make a Camera Rig. See Camera views and directions.
Every frame of a sheet uses the same camera, cell and pivot, so the sprite itself never shifts. If the character drifts inside the cell, the clip probably moves it forward. Use an in-place version of the clip.
Yes. Set the Style Profile’s Color Palette to Custom and assign one palette. With Auto, each asset gets its own palette from its own colors.
Yes. Download the .gpl, .pal or .hex file (or the PNG) into your project and assign it. See Palettes.
By default into a folder named after the File Name, next to the Pixelate Asset: {asset folder}/{File Name}/{Clip}/. Set Output Folder to export somewhere else inside Assets.
No, when Overwrite Existing is on. Sheets, sprites, Animation Clips, the Animator Controller and the Sprite Library are updated in place, so prefabs and scenes that use them keep working. Transitions and parameters you added to the controller are kept.
No. Pixelate Pro supports URP and the Built-In Render Pipeline. See Compatibility.
No. There is no telemetry. The optional update check only reads the public Asset Store page. Turn it off in Pixelate > Settings (Check for Updates On Startup).
