# Compatibility

> Supported Unity versions, render pipelines and optional packages.

## Unity versions

Pixelate Pro supports **Unity 6.0 LTS and newer**.

Tested on Unity 6.0 LTS (6000.0.75f1) and Unity 6.3 (6000.3.16f1), each with URP and with the Built-In Render Pipeline.

## Render pipelines

| Pipeline | Supported |
| - | - |
| Universal Render Pipeline (URP) | Yes |
| Built-In Render Pipeline | Yes |
| High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) | No |

Pixelate Pro captures your sources with their own materials in your project's active pipeline; there is nothing to set. With an unsupported pipeline (HDRP or a custom one), the Style Profile shows a warning.

## Packages

Pixelate Pro needs no packages beyond the ones Unity ships.

| Package | Needed for |
| - | - |
| 2D Sprite (`com.unity.2d.sprite`) | Required. Unity ships it, but some project templates (3D, Universal 3D) leave it out; if it is missing, Pixelate Pro offers to install it and adds **Pixelate > Install 2D Sprite Package**. |
| 2D Animation (`com.unity.2d.animation`, 9.0 or newer) | Optional. Enables **Create Sprite Library** in Output. Without it, the option is hidden. |
| URP with the 2D Renderer | Optional. Needed only to light the exported sprites with 2D Lights and their normal maps in your game. |

## Editor only

Pixelate Pro works entirely in the Unity Editor. It never needs Play Mode and adds no components to your scenes. Exported sprite sheets, Animation Clips, Animator Controllers and Sprite Libraries are standard Unity assets that work without Pixelate Pro.

## Privacy

Pixelate Pro sends no telemetry and no usage data. Its only network access is an optional update check that reads Pixelate Pro's public Asset Store page to compare version numbers. Turn it off in **Pixelate > Settings** (Check for Updates On Startup).
